加拿大BC省提名技术移民项目（PNP）是由BC省政府和联邦移民部协议共同运作的移民项目，旨在帮助BC省的雇主雇用并保留拥有所需技能的合资格的外国技术工人。
对于雇主：
1、企业必须注册在BC省范围内，经营一年以上并运营良好；
2、企业如位于大温哥华都会地区以内，必须拥有5名或以上的全职员工；
3、企业如位于大温哥华都会地区以外，必须拥有3名或以上的全职员工。
对于申请人要求：
1、必须具备大专以上学历；
2、满足雇主的招聘要求，多年相关行业工作经验；
3、如果雇主的行业需要具备相应的职业证书，则需提供；
4、具备一定的英文能力，雅思成绩须在5分以上；
5、需拥有足够第一年定居加拿大所需的全家生活费用。
近段时间，美国一直针对办理去美国移民的伙伴们，整出更为严苛的政策。而如今，有一项政策还引发了伦理道德和个人隐私方面的争议。

美国政府计划对被联邦监禁的移民进行常规DNA采样，这引发了科学家们对隐私和歧视问题的关注。
依据新的法规提案，美国移民署官员可以采集所有被拘留移民的DNA样本。
美国国土安全部于10月2日公布了该计划。所有被拘留移民的DNA将会被存入FBI的数据库，该数据库原本是用来帮助执法机构打击暴力犯罪的。美国国土安全部还在研讨相关法律法规。目前美国全国拘留了逾4万名移民。
支持者表示，DNA信息有助于破案，让执法者能够比对犯罪现场的DNA和移民的基因信息。但是生物伦理学家则认为，这个计划将错误地伤害这个本已弱势的群体。
芝加哥西北大学的生物伦理学家Sara Katsanis 反对这个计划，她认为：“这等同于在罪案现场或者可能的罪案现场采集整个公寓里的居民的DNA样本。在我看来，如果我们把每个人都看作犯罪分子，那和美国精神是相悖的。”
现在还不清楚美国政府将要采集什么信息，以及如何采集这些信息。一些专家猜测其中将包括20个遗传标记，FBI的数据库CODIS里的DNA样本主要就是由这些遗传标记构成的。这些遗传标记是特殊的短串连重复序列（STR），即DNA上的重复序列，它们的长度因人而异。
这项政策最终很有可能会因为舆论争议过大，而无法实施。因为它在很大程度上无法保障个人信息的安全性，有可能会出现个人信息泄露的危险。
而最近美国提出来的多项移民方面的政策，都引发了不小的争议。即将在11月实施的“要福利还是绿卡”的制度，就让很多申请者颇感抱怨，也有不少专家指责，该项政策在短时间会减轻政府的财政压力，但是，长此以往下去，很有可能会造成更大的公共负担。
而如今想要去美国移民的人们，也只能隐忍着，排队等待着申请。
